TradeInformer understands that the former CEO of IG Group’s Swiss entity is set to join rival broker Capital.com.
Bajjali is one of several long time executives to have left IG Group in the last 18 months.
He joined the brokerage group almost two decades ago as a sales executive in its London office.
After stints working for the broker in Singapore and Spain, he was made CEO of the company’s Swiss entity in 2014.
Aside from that role, Bajjali also oversaw the broker’s institutional activities and acted as the CEO of IG Prime.
As noted, Bajjali’s move follows a major internal shake up at IG since CEO Breon Corcoran joined at the start of 2024.
Since then a number of long time executives have left the broker, including former UK head Matt Brief and James Rutter, who was heading up tastytrade’s international expansion efforts before his departure.
