TradeInformer has learned that long-time IG Group executive Matt Brief has left the company after almost 25 years.
Brief joined the company in 2001 and held several different roles at the company, from dealing to ultimately heading up the company’s UK entity.
Several long-term executives have left IG over the last 12 months. Notably, the company’s former Chief Operating Officer Jon Noble – who had also been with the firm for about 25 years – left the company.
Gary Tibbs, who had been with the firm since the late 1990s and was the Chief Operating Officer of the group’s prime division, also left at the start of this year.
IG has made a number of structural changes over the course of 2024. The company appointed ex-Paddy Power boss Breon Corcoran as its new CEO in January, following the departure of June Felix.
In its annual results, the firm also announced a change to its management structure, with new, smaller regional divisions that work more independently.
The company also recently confirmed it would be shutting Spectrum Markets, an MTF that was primarily for exchange-traded derivatives in Europe.
