Long time FXCM executive Paresh Patel has left his senior role at the firm to join ATFX.
Patel joined FXCM in 2010 and worked as the brokerage group’s Global Head of Trading.
He will work as ATFX’s Global Head of Risk and Trading.
ATFX has made several hires from ATFX over the last few years. The company’s Chairman – Joe Li – got his start in the industry at FXCM in the 2000s and worked at the firm for almost five years.
Drew Niv, ATFX’s Chief Strategy Officer, was the Founder of FXCM. The broker’s Chief Commercial Officer, Siju Daniel, was also hired from the firm last year.
Patel has a huge wealth of experience, having overseen FXCM’s dealing desks for more than a decade.
ATFX has built up its retail and institutional offering over the last few years, with investment bank prime brokerage relationships now in place for the latter.
The company recently held its annual Gala in Kuala Lumpur, with more than 700 employees flying in from around the world.
