The founders of liquidity provider iSAM Securities appear to have started a new business, encompassing a retail broker and a trading education company.
Jonathan Brewer, one of the founders of iSAM, lists himself as a Founding Partner and Principal of a Seychelles-regulated broker called JT Markets on his LinkedIn page.
The CEO of JT Markets is Trevor Barwell, who was previously a Managing Director at broker Capital Index. Barwell resigned as a director of Capital Index in January of last year.
JT Markets also lists Robert Buxton, a former sales exec at iSAM, and David Aspinall as employees.
Aspinall was Group Marketing Director at Learn to Trade for almost seven years. He left the firm around the same time as Barwell left Capital Index. Learn to Trade is operated by Greg Secker, who also owns Capital Index.
Connected to JT Markets are two other entities.
One of these is a UAE registered company called JT Trading Services. This firm runs a trading education website called Forex Masterclass that has been very active in the UK for at least 12 months now.
Forex Masterclass runs trading courses, which it sells via its website. The face of the company is Adam Harris, who has worked as an analyst and content provider for a number of different brokers, including MarketsVox and FXGlobe.
The third company in the set of interlinked firms is called JT Core Services.
This is listed on the Forex Masterclass website as providing “business support, marketing services, and payment facilitation for JT Trading Services [the company which runs Forex Masterclass].”
JT Core Services is owned by Brewer and Raj Sitlani, the other founder of iSAM.
