Brokerage group Versus Trade has hired Janis Baltalksnis as its new Regional Director for Laos and Thailand.
Baltalksnis joins the company after a brief stint at Zeal Group, where he was Regional Director for Thailand and Vietnam.
Baltalksnis has worked in online trading for over a decade.
The bulk of his experience was at BVI-regulated brokerage group Markets4you. He spent over six years at the company, building out its presence in Southeast Asia.
During his time at the firm, he worked as Country Manager for Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and the Philippines. He was also promoted to be Regional Director for Southeast Asia.
After leaving Markets4you, Baltalksnis moved into iGaming and worked for software provider SoftGamings.
Versus Trade is a new broker that went live last year. The company onboarded over 100k clients in 2025 and also saw monthly trading volume of $75bn.
