Crypto exchange Kraken on Wednesday launched Kraken Prop, a proprietary trading program built into Kraken Pro that offers funded accounts of up to $200,000.
The program follows a two-stage model. Traders purchase an evaluation, starting at $20, and trade in a simulated environment with defined profit targets and loss limits. There is no time limit on the evaluation phase. Traders who pass and complete verification are upgraded to a funded account, typically within 12 to 24 hours.
Funded accounts trade crypto perpetual contracts across more than 60 pairs with up to 5x leverage. The default profit split is 80/20 in the trader’s favour, with a 90/10 upgrade available for an additional 20% of the base evaluation fee. Payouts are processed within 24 hours, Kraken support pages show, and funded capital is capped at $200,000 across all active funded accounts.
Risk parameters include a Maximum Daily Loss set at 3% of the starting balance and a Maximum Drawdown that does not reset. Kraken labels the service an unregulated offering and says evaluation fees are non-refundable.
Kraken acquired prop trading platform Breakout in September 2025. Kraken Prop now brings that funded trading model under the main Kraken Pro brand.
