Brokerage executive Maria Shenouda has joined Daman Markets as the broker’s Vice President of Sales.
Shenouda joins the firm from StoneX, the operator of brands FOREX.com and City Index.
She spent almost six years at the firm working with high net-worth client and held the position of Associate Director before leaving.
Prior to StoneX, Shenouda held roles at brokerage group Swissquote and several banks, including Barclays and HSBC.
Daman Markets is a relatively new brand. It was launched towards the end of 2023 and is operated by Daman Securities, a brokerage firm which has been active in the United Arab Emirates for almost three decades.
Shenouda is one of several experienced executives that the company has brought in to launch the Daman Markets offering.
For example, Samer Fakhridin, who was on the ICM Capital trading team for a decade, was hired to run the firm’s trading desk and Chirine Fadel, previously CFI’s Global Marketing Director, joined as Chief Marketing Officer last year.
