Crypto exchange operator Payward, the parent company of Kraken, said on Monday, June 8, 2026, it will participate in the US Tech Force, a White House-backed federal talent program administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
The Tech Force places private-sector engineers into two-year assignments across federal agencies, with work focused on AI, cybersecurity, data modernization, software engineering, and blockchain-enabled infrastructure. OPM launched the program in December 2025.
Payward said it will send engineers into the program and expects to recruit Tech Force participants back into its own teams afterward, creating a two-way talent pipeline between its exchange infrastructure operation and federal agencies.
“At Kraken and Payward, we build for speed, security, and scale in the most demanding environments,” said Arjun Sethi, Co-CEO of Kraken and Payward. “Government tech modernization isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s mission-critical for public trust, economic strength, and national leadership.”
Payward joins a partner roster that already includes fellow crypto firms Coinbase and Robinhood alongside enterprise technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, OpenAI, and Palantir.
