Uchenna Oranu leaves Blackwell Global

Brokerage executive Uchenna Oranu has left his role at Blackwell Global.

Oranu was a Director at Blackwell Global’s Cyprus entity and was based in Limassol.

He joined the brokerage firm at the end of 2018 as a risk and liquidity manager for the group’s European Union-facing entity. Ultimately he was made a director at the firm in 2021.

Oranu started his career in the financial services industry over two decades ago at the commodities broker-dealer Sucden Financial. He spent almost a decade at the firm, including over seven years as a foreign exchange trader.

He then had stints at Price Markets and the market making firm Alpha, which was ultimately acquired by TradeTech in 2017. TradeTech subsequently rebranded to become Finalto.

Prior to joining Blackwell Global, Oranu had a short stint at trading technology company Spotware as well.

“After 6 years at Blackwell Global, it’s time for me to move on to the next step in my career,” said Oranu. “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside talented and supportive colleagues, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow and contribute during my time here.”
