VT Markets Africa Head moves to EBC

Brokerage executive Ramesh Mungara has left VT Markets after more than two years with the firm.

He has joined rival broker EBC Financial, a company with entities in the UK, Australia, Cayman Islands, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Mungara will work as Regional Head for the company. Presumably this means South Africa and the wider Africa market.

As noted, he joins the firm from rival brand VT Markets, where he was initially the broker’s Country Director for South Africa, before being made Head of Africa just over 12 months ago.

Mungara has also worked as a country head for South African broker Mtrading and has held affiliate and introducing roles at several firms, including CMTrading and FxPro.

South Africa is becoming an increasingly competitive market, with lots of firms entering the market in the last 18 months.

The country also acts as a hub for brokers looking to target the wider Africa region.
