The liquidity provision division of iSAM announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Chris Twort as Head of Trading.

Twort has been with iSAM for a decade, working across both iSAM Securities – the company’s liquidity provision arm – and iSAM Funds, the firm’s hedge fund operation. Prior to joining iSAM Twort spent two decades working in trading roles at banks, including UBS and Rabobank.

“I am hugely excited about the role at iSAM Securities,” said Twort. “We don’t just focus on volume, we strive to differentiate ourselves with a more sophisticated offering.Our whole ethos is based on empowering our clients and encouraging them to do better, something which I intend to carry with me as I progress in my new role.”

Twort was one of the first employees at iSAM Securities when it launched as IS Prime a decade ago.

However, for the last five years he has been working on the group’s investing activity as Head of Trading and Execution. iSAM Funds seems to run two funds. One of these is a managed futures fund and the other is a long/short equities fund.

In a statement, iSAM said that Twort would be helping iSAM Securities’ teams globally, helping them provide a high quality service and providing detailed feedback to clients on how they can improve their trading strategies.
