ICE Futures Europe said on Monday it will suppress certain far-dated Standard UK single stock option strikes that carry no open interest, according to Circular 26/085 published by the exchange.
The move removes dormant strikes from the listed contract set. Inactive long-dated option entries will disappear from the visible roster, simplifying the product offering for brokers, vendors, and options desks.
Existing listing framework unchanged
The suppression fits within ICE’s standing listing rules for Standard UK single stock options.
The exchange’s background document on minimum strike price intervals shows that far-dated expiries, those between 13 and 60 months out, already carry the lowest minimum strike count: one in-the-money, one at-the-money, and one out-of-the-money per expiry month.
ICE’s framework also allows members to request new strikes to be listed in UK stock options, so dormant series can be restored when demand appears.
The exchange did not announce any change to the broader Standard UK single stock options framework. The circular presents the change as contract-list maintenance within an existing product structure.
