Rostro Group announced on Wednesday that it has made two new senior hires.
Sammy Christou has joined the company, which operates Scope Markets and several other brokerage businesses, as Managing Director, Systematic Market Making.
Christou has held trading roles in the brokerage industry for almost two decades.
Most recently, he was Chief Risk Officer at Exinity, the owner of Alpari and FXTM. He has also held roles at City Index, London Capital Group, and Equiti.
“As we grow our institutional client book, committing more resource to systematic functions supports our mission of handling a greater proportion of each trade cycle in house,” said Rostro Group CEO Michael Ayres.
“Even though we are less than a month into the new year, it’s abundantly clear that market activity is on the increase and a growing number of counterparties are eager to work with us. The vision has always been to build our pricing and execution around AI and Blockchain enabled technologies which will be doing later this year.”
Also joining the company is Demetra Charalambous, who will work as Group Finance Director. She has held finance roles for close to three decades, with senior roles at companies like Binance and eToro.
