Dutch Electronic Money Institution iLedgends B.V. said on Wednesday it has rebranded to emoni, a name the Amsterdam-based company said reflects its focus on regulated and compliance-heavy clients, including CFD brokers.
The company said it operates under a Dutch EMI licence supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank and offers dedicated IBAN accounts, global and local payment rails, and multi-currency solutions. emoni was founded in 2022 as iLedgends.
The rebrand comes amid de-risking in the Netherlands and Europe, where regulated firms often struggle to secure banking and payment access from mainstream providers. De Nederlandsche Bank has previously noted that sector knowledge helps providers make faster and more adequate risk assessments when onboarding business clients.
emoni founder and CEO Eran ten Napel said the company evaluates merchants individually based on their processes and quality rather than making blanket judgments based on industry.
“Our clients depend on us for critical payment infrastructure. The name emoni reflects the responsibility we carry and the long-term relationships we build,” said ten Napel.
