A former risk management executive at prop firm the5%ers has launched his own consulting firm, called RUBIK.
Ruben Abitbol spent over three years at the prop firm, which is generally seen as one of the largest in the industry.
During his time there he worked as Head of Trading and Risk Management.
After leaving the company last year, he became Head of Risk and Research at Prop Firm Match. He also played a key role in building the company’s platform Prop Firm One.
Prior to entering the prop trading industry, Abitbol was an options trader at market making firm Futures First.
RUBIK, Abitbol’s new firm, will provide risk management and operational consulting services to prop firms.
“After five years of helping build and shape this industry from its early days, I’ve developed a proven methodology that turns risk into insight, strengthens margins, and drives sustainable scale,” Abitbol told TradeInformer.
“Unlike the CFD brokerage world, there are no standardized practices, known methodologies or tools in the prop trading industry. There’s also a significant lack of understanding – not necessarily “good” or “bad” methods, just many inconsistent ones. One of my goals is to set a standard for the industry.”
