The release of files associated with Jeffrey Epstein brought up a rather peculiar association with the online trading industry.

Records in the files, which were released over the weekend by the US Department of Justice, reveal an email chain dating back to 2018, in which Epstein brings up an interview with the Founder of FxPro – Denis Sukhotin.

There is no indication that Sukhotin was connected to Epstein. Instead, from the limited information available, it seems that Epstein was interested in learning more about the brokerage founder.

Sukhotin appears in a short series of emails. The name of the person that Epstein is corresponding with is blacked out but parts of the email chain clearly show that their language has been set to Russian on their email account.

The short snippet begins with a rather cryptic message, in which the Russian-speaker emails Epstein saying:

“I found at least 3 very good young poor but we [was] so tired. I will cover up this week. Meet this one, not the beauty [queen] but we both likes her a lot.”

Epstein responds to this with a link to an interview with Sukhotin.

“You don’t know him personally???? Prokhorov said. That his business illegal. He is in rexab in Palm Beach in currect [sic] moment,” the person responds.

Epstein replies to this with a one word “no.” The ‘Prokhorov’ mentioned in the email is likely to be Russian-Israeli billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who is mentioned several times in the Epstein files. In another email chain, which seems to be with the same person as the FxPro emails, it seems Prokhorov is trying to get Warren Buffett’s signature via Epstein.
