HSTikkyTokky being an idiot

British documentarian Louis Theroux recently released a new film called ‘Inside The Manosphere’ on Netflix. Its focus is on a group of streamers who make ‘controversial’ content primarily aimed at young men.

What you really find is that they are all depressingly cynical, perennially online, and mainly trying to monetise their audiences by selling goods of dubious value to them. Naturally they are the perfect fit for the online trading industry as a result of this.

Over the course of the documentary, Theroux ends up signing up – and depositing £500 – with an unnamed broker. It is unclear who the broker is but he trades with the firm via the MetaTrader 5 platform on his phone.

So who is it?

The ‘influencer’ who gets him to sign up is called HSTikkyTokky and he pushes his audience to sign up to a broker via Telegram. Three years ago the broker he used was IronFX. However, this appears to have changed over time.

A more recent clip, filmed at around the time that the Theroux documentary was being made last year, shows that HSTikkyTokky was pushing users in his Telegram group to sign up via the VantageFX.com URL.

That site now redirects to Vantage Markets, which is regulated in Mauritius, although it’s plausible at the time it was in Vanuatu.

Vantage has also been in the news lately for being an IB for Tommy Robinson’s son.

HSTikkyTokky appears to have blocked further access to his Telegram account so we cannot confirm if he is still acting as IB for the broker. And Theroux? He says in the documentary that his account went close to zero.
