Scope Prime hires Andrew Taylor as Head of APAC

Scope Prime announced on Monday that it has hired Andrew Taylor to lead its APAC division.

Taylor has over three decades of experience on FX desks in both investment banks and retail brokers. Most recently he was the Managing Director of ACY Connect, the B2B arm of ACY Securities. Prior to that he was the General Manager of IC Markets.

“Combining Andrew’s wealth of industry knowledge with our dynamic product set means that we are well placed to expand our institutional reach across the fast growth APAC markets,” said Scope Prime CEO Daniel Lawrance. “The Scope Markets brand is already well known by retail investors in much of the region, but Andrew will be instrumental in building the Group’s presence and aid in delivering our high-quality solutions to banks, brokerages and other institutional counterparties within the region.”

Taylor will be based in Sydney and will initially be focused on building out Scope Prime’s regional office. He’ll also be responsible for driving new business for the liquidity provider in the region.

“I’m delighted to be joining the talented ranks of the Rostro Group and look forward to solidifying and growing the Scope brand and its offering within the Asia-Pacific region,” said Taylor. “The company’s innovative way of providing competitive liquidity across such a diverse range of markets addresses the recurrent client need for comprehensive multi-asset access from a single provider. With demand for these services in APAC markets growing fast, supporting this with a physical presence will without doubt help cement Scope’s position in the region.”
