Cryptocurrency trading firm Perpetuals.com has hired Kypros Zoumidou as a Non-Executive Director.
The company, which is regulated by the Cyprus Securities Exchange Commission (CySEC), is one of the only firms in Europe able to offer companies access to perpetual futures trading through its multi-lateral trading facility.
Perpetuals.com does not accept clients but instead provides brokers and other financial institutions with access to the products, which it plans on expanding to other asset classes, including tokenised stocks.
The Perpetuals.com Group was co-founded by Robin Matzke, Nayia Ziourti, and Patrick Gruhn, all specialists in crypto and financial market infrastructure with long experience in regulated businesses. The regulated Cyprus-based business is run by Robin Matzke and Nayia Ziourti day-to-day and forms part of the wider Perpetuals.com Group.
“Perpetuals.com is uniquely positioned at a time of major change in European and global markets,” said Zoumidou. “As tokenisation, crypto, and the convergence of crypto trading, retail brokerage, and neo-banking accelerate, there is a clear opportunity to build the next generation of regulated trading infrastructure. I’m excited to support the team in seizing that opportunity.”
Zoumidou joins the company after almost 25 years in the financial services industry. He spent over a decade at London-listed broker IG Group, where he was a board member for three subsidiary companies.
More recently, he was Global CEO at Capital.com, where he had stints as UK CEO and Group CEO.
“Kypros will play a key role in strengthening our corporate governance and control framework as we scale,” said Patrick Gruhn. “His global experience across both governance and commercial operations adds significant expertise to the Perpetuals.com board.”
