Retail broker ActivTrades has appointed Laurent McClintock to lead its business development efforts in the UK.

McClintock will work as the broker’s Head of Business Development and Partners for the country.

He joins the broker from rival firm Pepperstone, where he spent almost ten years working.

During his time at the firm, he led the broker’s sales team for both the UK and European Economic Area. That including overseeing substantial revenue growth at the firm.

Although other firms have pulled back from the UK, ActivTrades continues to target and take clients from the country.

The company also uses its office in London to service clients from other parts of the world, including Brazil.

The broker has liceneses in the UK, Brazil, Portugal, the Bahamas and Mauritius. Like several other players in the industry, the company also has an office in Bulgaria.
