ATFX reduces latency by 150% after MT server relocation

Brokerage group ATFX announced on Monday that it has completed the relocation of its MetaTrader servers to Equinix data centres in Hong Kong and London.

The company said in a statement that the new set up was aimed at reducing latency and maintaining consistent up time for clients across all of the regions it serves.

ATFX also undertook the project to ensure the company can grow sustainably moving forward. The company currently operates nine MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 servers.

“We are committed to delivering the highest quality trading services to our global clients,” said ATFX Chairman Joe Li. “By relocating all trading servers to Equinix, we not only enhance trading speed and stability globally but also lay a solid foundation for future technological innovations and market expansions.”

Since the sever relocation was completed, ATFX has said that there has been a 60% to 150% improvement in latency, depending on the region where the client is based.
