FTSE 250 financial services firm CMC Markets announced a multi-year Main Club Partnership with Premier League club Everton on Wednesday, and the company will be front-of-shirt sponsor across the senior Men’s, Women’s, and Under-21 kits.
The deal, brokered by sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE, gives CMC branding rights across Hill Dickinson Stadium, Goodison Park and Finch Farm, along with activations on matchdays and digital channels.
CMC said the partnership is part of its push beyond its trading heritage toward a broader financial services business that serves long-term investors, active traders and institutional clients. Football’s global reach gives the firm a mainstream platform as it widens awareness of its investing, trading and wealth solutions.
“This is an important agreement for the Club and one that will play a key role in our continued commercial growth,” said Andrew Middleton, President of Business Operations at Everton.
The two organisations will also support community financial literacy programmes in the Liverpool City Region, delivered through Everton in the Community and The People’s Learning Trust.
Everton had been in the market for a new front-of-kit sponsor since hiring Range Sports for the task last year, as Sports Business Journal reported, with multiple Premier League clubs needing to replace betting sponsors on the front of their shirts.
