The Head of Sales Trading and Execution at CMC Markets has left the brokerage group after almost 15 years with the firm.
Toby Morris joined CMC Markets at the end of 2012 and was initially a Senior Sales Trader. In 2017, he was promoted to Head of Sales Trading and Execution.
That role included managing high net worth clients and institutional business for CMC Markets.
Morris was named as an expert witness in the case that CMC brought against billionaire Robert Tchenguiz, who lost over £1m trading spread bets with the broker.
The case showed that Morris was also partly repsonsible for dealing with Tchenguiz when he was trading with the firm.
Tchenguiz lost that case and had to repay CMC Markets the money he lost to the firm.
Prior to joining CMC Markets, Morris worked at rival broker IG Group for close to four years. He was also a sales trader at the firm.
