TradeInformer understands that Andrea Rebusco has left his role at newcomer broker Onyx Markets.
Rebusco joined the company 12 months ago, having been brought in by the wider group’s owners to launch a retail brokerage offering.
He joined the firm from retail investment platform Moneyfarm where he was Head of Brokerage. He also worked at fractional bond trading company WiseAlpha.
The bulk of his experience in the retail sector, however, was at London-listed firm IG Group. Rebusco was at IG for close to a decade, where he had stints as the Managing Director of the company’s Spanish entity and Head of Trading Services for the EMEA region.
Onyx’s retail offering went live in January. The company has hired a number of senior executives from firms like IG Group, CMC Markets, and SpreadCo to launch the product.
The company has a long history in the oil derivatives trading market and has pushed oil swaps as one of its key products in the marketing materials it has released so far.
