Kraken said on Wednesday that it had added five new USD spot margin trading pairs for US users on Kraken Pro, bringing the total number of spot margin-enabled markets on the platform to 28.
The announcement named four of the new pairs: PEPE/USD, WLD/USD, RENDER/USD and PENGU/USD.
Kraken’s product pages show the rollout is live, with leverage caps set by asset. PEPE/USD is available with up to 5x leverage, while PENGU/USD carries a lower cap of 3x.
The additions expand Kraken’s US margin roster to include more memecoins and altcoins. PEPE and PENGU are both memecoin projects, while WLD and RENDER are utility and infrastructure-linked tokens.
Kraken said that access to spot margin trading through Kraken Derivatives US depends on certain eligibility criteria and limitations. It is offered by NinjaTrader Clearing, LLC d/b/a Kraken Derivatives US, a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA member, with financing provided by Payward Accredited LLC.
