Cryptocurrency trading firm OKX has hired Shunyet Jan as its Vice President of Product Management.
Jan joins the company after a year-long stint at rival firm Bybit, where he was Head of Derivatives and Institutional Business.
The new OKX exec appears to have played a key role in building out Bybit’s perpetual futures and CFD offering.
When Bybit held a large product update last month, Jan presented the company’s integration of CFDs into an ‘all in one’ mobile application. Previously traders could only access CFDs on Bybit via MetaTrader 5.
Jan has worked in financial services for almost three decades.
His resume includes roles at almost every major investment bank. Jan started out at Goldman Sachs in 1997 and went on to work at Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Barclays.
After leaving the investment banking world, he worked for quant trading firm Tower Research for almost 8 years, working in the company’s China and Singapore offices. Jan moved to Bybit in September last year.
OKX is one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world. The company claims to have more than 3,000 employees and over 50m customers.
