Retail brokerage executive Peter Spanos has joined Fintrix Markets as Director.
Spanos has worked in the online trading industry for two decades, primarily in risk management roles.
He began his career at London-listed firm IG Group and spent close to ten years at the firm, working on the dealing desk.
In 2015, he moved to CMC Markets, where he spent three years as a volatility risk manager. After leaving CMC, Spanos spent over five years at Pepperstone as Head of Market Risk and – most recently – worked as Head of Risk and Product Development at GO Markets.
Fintrix Markets is a newcomer to the brokerage space. The company acquired retail broker Aksys earlier this year, presumably to get its Mauritius license.
The broker, which has its operational headquarters in Australia, looks to be targeting clients in Asia.
Fintrix has also integrated with oneZero and, in a statement published on Friday, says it plans on expanding its offering to include MetaTrader 4 and Brokeree’s copy trading solution.
“Our focus is on trust, technology and trader support,” said Spanos. “We want to cut through the noise and deliver a brokerage traders can trust. These recent enhancements are just the beginning of what we’ve set out to build.”
