Brokerage group HTFX appears to have shut shop.
The company’s main global .com URL is now for sale, with the broker’s services completely unavailable.
The same is true for the HTFX European entity. HTFX handed back its Cypriot license in January of this year and the domain has now been shut down completely.
There is still a UK-regulated broker operating under the HTFX brand.
However, the original owners of HTFX appear to have sold their position in that business in January. The owners are listed as Stephen Williams and Levy Benarroch, who were both prior directors and shareholders at the UK company.
The company is also in the process of handing back its FCA license, the regulator’s data shows.
It’s unclear exactly what has happened at HTFX but the company’s closure aligns with the rally in gold we saw at the end of 2025 and into January of this year.
Other firms, notably SquaredFinancial, appear to have also suffered on the back of gold trading activity during that time.
