Brokerage executive Sherwan Zeybo has joined EC Markets as the company’s Global Head of Business Development.
He will be based in the company’s office in Cyprus.
Zeybo joins the firm from rival brand FXGT, where he spent the last three years. He was Global Head of Business Development and Partnerships during his time working at the broker.
Zeybo has worked in the brokerage industry for almost a decade.
Aside from FXGT, he has held sales roles at other brokerage brands, including Eurotrader, t4trade, and BDSwiss.
EC Markets has a large presence in Asia, although the broker is also in the early stages of launching a more developed offering for retail clients in the UK as well.
The company hired long-time industry executive Adam Saward to oversee the development of its UK retail entity.
The company recently renewed a sponsorship agreement with snooker player Judd Trump, who has helped the broker get larger brand exposure across several key markets.
