Brokerage group Swissquote announced preliminary financial results for 2024 on Friday morning.

The company said that revenues for the year totalled approximately CHF 655m or around $718m in dollar terms. That represented a 23% year on year increase compared to 2023.

Swissquote also said that it expects net income for the year to be CHF 345m ($378m) or 35% ahead of 2023’s figure of CHF 255.4 ($280.1m).

The company said that the results were in part due to a rise in cryptocurrency trading towards the end of the year.

As noted in a couple of recent articles on TradeInformer, Swissquote was the main beneficiary of the boom in bitcoin’s value after Trump’s election in November of last year.

Swissquote also noted in its report that assets under management with the firm have reached CHF 76bn ($83.4bn), with a net increase in client assets of CHF 8.3bn ($9.1bn) over the year.
