The South African arm of brokerage group Trive has bought a set of branded Porsche 4x4s for its offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Trive went live with its local South Africa operations in September of last year, headed up by local Chief Executive Officer Marius Grobler.

The company is part of a wider group of capital markets and financial services businesses owned by Global Kapital Group.

According to Grobler, the branded cars are part of a wider strategy to enhance the company’s offering to potential clients and partners, with new, luxury offices also in the making and other efforts in the works to improve the company’s brand and reputation in South Africa.

“The new branded Porches are for our Cape Town and Johannesburg offices,” said Grobler. “They enable us to build better, high trust relationships with clients and partners. This is just the beginning. We are stepping our game and seeing big month-on-moth revenue growth.”

South Africa has emerged as a major market for brokers in the last few years. Partly that is because of a comparatively attractive regulatory regime, but also due to the potential the local market offers.

Brokers are also using South Africa as a base of operations from which to work with clients in the wider region.
