UK MP, basketball player help ZFX launch new cryptocurrency

Brokerage group ZFX held a launch gala for its new cryptocurrency in Hong Kong at the end of October, the firm said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new cryptocurrency is called ZDS and, at this stage, works like a bonus and cash back tool for clients trading with the broker.

For example, clients who sign up with the firm can be rewarded when they complete registration with a certain amount of ZDS.

Similarly when a client trades with the firm, they can receive credit in their account in the form of ZDS.

The company says it has further plans for development of the ZDS token next year. Although the company has not said so explicitly, the impression one gets is that they are aiming to make the cryptocurrency useable outside of a ZFX brokerage account.

ZFX officially launched the new coin at the gala at the end of last month.

In a statement, the broker said that John Bercow, the old British House of Commons Speaker, appeared in a pre-recorded video to congratulate the firm on the launch. So too did ex-basketball player Glen Davis and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

Currently ZDS is only available to clients in China, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India.
