Brokerage executive Vasilis Sotiriou has been hired by IC Markets as its Global Head of Risk.

Sotiriou joins the broker from liquidity provider 26 Degrees, where he spent over three years.

Initially he was the company’s Head of Risk Management but he was promoted to being Chief Risk Officer for the EMEA region earlier this year.

Sotiriou has worked at IC Markets before. He joined the firm back in 2017 and spent just over three years with company, initially as a Senior Dealer, before being made Group Risk Manager.

Sotirious appears to have left 26 Degrees in the summer. He was one of two former IC Markets dealing executives at the firm, with former 26 Degrees EMEA CEO Riana Chaili also having spent time at the broker.
