Kea Nonyana made Head of Scope Prime Africa

Kearabilwe Nonyana has been made Head of Scope Prime Africa.

Nonyana has experience at IG Group, where he was a sales trader for two years, and ThinkMarkets, where he was also a sales trader and Head of Equity Research.

Most recently, Nonyana was at EA Capital, a South African firm that offers crypto trading, payments, and liquidity to other brokers.

At Scope Prime, Nonyana will be based in Johannesburg and work on growing the Scope Prime offering across the African continent.

Scope Prime has made several hires over the last 12 months. Former Maybank prime brokerage executive Miranti Rostian was brought in to head up the company’s ASEAN division and Andrew Taylor was also made Head of APAC.

More recently the firm appointed Lochlan White as Chief Commercial Officer. He is based in the company’s Cyprus office.

“Africa is experiencing remarkable financial product innovation right now and Scope Prime is superbly positioned to service this growing demand,” said Nonyana. “I’m certainly delighted to have joined the Scope Prime team and look forward to helping build the company’s presence both in South Africa and further afield.”
