Shobin Simon joins MAS Markets as Head of MENA

Liquidity provider MAS Markets announced on Wednesday that Shobin Simon has joined the company as Head of Institutional Sales for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

“We are thrilled to welcome Shobin to the MAS Markets team,” said MAS Markets CEO Simon Blackledge. “His expertise in the MENA region and his dedication to delivering value to institutional clients make him the ideal fit for this role.

“Shobin’s leadership will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy and strengthening our relationships in the region. We are confident that his contributions will enhance our presence and position us as a leading partner for institutions across MENA.”

Simon joins MAS Markets from Advanced Markets Group, another liquidity provider that focuses on the institutional space.

He is the second senior executive to leave Advanced Markets this year. In January, the company’s long-time VP of sales and marketing, Anya Aratovskaya, left the firm as well.

MAS Markets rebranded earlier this from BidX Markets. It has also made a few key hires over the last 12 months, including Mateus Cicci de Moura and Liam Bonfield from retail broker Valutrades.

The company also appointed Chris James Chief Technology Officer in April. James worked at bridge and risk management firm Gold-i for over a decade prior to making that move.

“I am excited to join MAS Markets at this pivotal time,” said Simon. “My goal is to strengthen our relationships with institutional clients by providing exceptional service and value, ultimately positioning MAS Markets as a leading partner in the industry. I look forward to working with the team to unlock new opportunities for growth in the MENA region.”
