Crypto payment processor B2BINPAY Mauritius has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider licence from the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (FSC Mauritius) under the VAITOS Act 2021, the company said on Wednesday.

The authorisation covers Broker-Dealer (Class M), Wallet Services (Class O), and Custodian (Class R) activities. B2BINPAY said it is the first crypto payment company to receive a VASP licence in the jurisdiction.

The three classes allow the firm to facilitate exchange flows between crypto and fiat, operate wallets for transferring virtual assets, and safeguard client assets on behalf of counterparties.

“Securing the FSC Mauritius VASP licenses is a significant achievement. It opens new market opportunities, allows us to serve clients more effectively, and gives us an operational base in a jurisdiction with a robust financial ecosystem,” said Arthur Azizov, CEO of B2BINPAY.

The VAITOS Act came into force in February 2022, establishing the FSC as the supervisor for VASPs operating in or from Mauritius. The regime requires licensees to maintain a physical office in Mauritius, segregate client funds, and file annual audited financial statements.

B2BINPAY said the licences will support work with clients connected to African and international markets through Mauritius’ financial infrastructure.

The company already holds a DASP licence from El Salvador’s CNAD, obtained in November 2025, and said it has processed more than $5.1 billion in transactions to date.
