Blockchain organisation TRON DAO said in a Geneva announcement on Friday that circulating USDT on TRON had passed $90 billion, while year-to-date transfers reached about $4.2 trillion.
In its sponsored GlobeNewswire announcement, the DAO said Token Terminal data ranked TRON first among networks for USDT transfer volume this year. It also reported average daily USDT transfers of $23.8 billion, without providing a separate methodology for that average.
TRON said the network now processes more than 12.7 million transactions per day and has over 392 million total user accounts. The account figure measures accumulated account creation, not active or unique users.
The figures cover different parts of TRON’s settlement role. Supply measures USDT held on the network, while transfer volume measures value moved and may count the same tokens more than once.
Stablecoin Insider has linked USDT’s use on TRON to frequent, small-value transfers across Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, supported by low fees.
TRON’s Q1 report put all stablecoin supply at $86.02 billion at quarter-end. That earlier aggregate is not directly comparable with July’s USDT-only total.
