Jaser Mahmoud

Brokerage group IC Markets has appointed Jaser Mahmoud as its new Chief Technology Officer.

Mahmoud has worked in technology roles for more than two decades.

He joins IC Markets from crypto firm R3, where he was Chief Architect. Prior to his stint at the company, he worked at brokerage group ADSS for nearly two years.

During his time at the Abu Dhabi-based brokerage, where he was Head of Enterprise Architecture, he played a key role in building out the company’s technology stack.

Most of Mahmoud’s other roles have been outside of the brokerage industry, with stints at a cybersecurity company and a couple of payments providers.

IC Markets has been making some significant changes to its operations over the last 12 months.

The broker has moved its main base of operations to Dubai and also siloed off its European and Australian entities from the rest of its business.

Several senior executives, including Angus Walker and Jason Hughes, have also been brought in.

The company also appears to be in the process of launching new account types and moving towards rebranding itself as IC.
