Trading venue operator and liquidity provider LMAX has hired Chris Drummond as Head of Broker Liquidity for its LMAX Global division.
Drummond will be based in the group’s office in London.
He joins the company after almost a decade at retail broker Pepperstone.
During his time at the Aussie firm, he moved from being in a client-facing business development executive role to working as part of the trading team.
After moving into that role in 2019, he was promoted several times, becoming Manager of Trading Services and – ultimately – Head of Market Risk for Pepperstone’s EMEA division.
LMAX operates across a number of different business lines. Most notably, it runs a trading venue for FX that is regulated in the UK and Singapore.
The company also runs a similar venue for cryptocurrency trading and operates as a liquidity provider.
LMAX also owns part of New Zealand retail broker Blackbull Markets and technology provider Tools for Brokers.
