Brokerage group CFI is planning on launching a dedicated crypto trading product, TradeInformer understands.

The company has been quietly building out a team to launch the product over the last couple of years. Abbas Roda, who previously worked at a now-defunct exchange called Coinhub, joined the broker as Head of Crypto in mid-2024.

CFI has also hired Ahmad Alsharqatli as General Manager for Digital Assets in Jordan. Alsharqatli was the founder and CEO of a crypto trading and investment solutions provider called AYM.

Meanwhile the company is also in the process of hiring for a range of different crypto-specific roles, across its offices in Cyprus, the UAE, Jordan, and Malaysia.

The company states in a product role that it is building a “next-generation crypto exchange trading platform across web and mobile.”

The company does not appear to have regulatory approvals to offer crypto trading services in its core markets yet.
