TradeInformer understands that Laurent McClintock has left his role at ActivTrades.
McClintock joined the broker at the start of this year and was working as Head of Business Development and Partners in its UK office.
Prior to joining ActivTrades, McClintock spent almost a decade at rival broker Pepperstone
During his time at the Aussie broker, he led the company’s sales team for both the UK and European Economic Area.
That including overseeing substantial revenue growth at the firm.
McClintock is the second senior executive to leave ActivTrades over the last couple of months.
Matteo Paganini also parted ways with the London-based broker earlier this year, after about a year and a half working in senior roles at the company. That included working as the CEO of the wider group’s entity in Mauritius and as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer.
ActivTrades still going in the UK but targeting Brazil
ActivTrades is one an increasingly small number of players that continues to maintain a presence in Europe, with licenses in the UK, Portugal, and Italy.
Unlike many other players, who have pulled back from those markets almost entirely or take clients from them offshore, the broker is still active in places like Germany, Italy, France, and the UK.
However, the company has also focused heavily on the Brazilian market.
It is one of a small number of players in the online trading industry that has a license in the South American country, where it primarily uses non-deliverable forwards for marketing.
