Prop trading firm FundingPips has appointed a former policy advisor at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK’s financial regulator, as its Group Managing Director.
Andria Evripidou is originally from Cyprus but has lived in the UK for almost two decades. It’s unclear if she has relocated to FundingPip’s headquarters in Dubai or if she’ll remain in London.
Prior to joining FundingPips, Evripidou was running a payments company, which she also founded, called XDA. The company specialised in the igaming industry.
She began here career just over a decade ago as a consultant before joining the FCA in 2015. She spent almost five years at the regulator as a Senior Economist in the payment regulations team. In 2019, she switched to become a Senior Policy Advisor, also in the regulator’s Payments Policy Team.
After leaving the FCA in 2020, she worked at Revolut as a Global Authorisations Senior Manager and Xace, a payments provider to the gambling industry.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Andria Evripidou as our Group Managing Director,” said FundingPips in a statement. “Andria brings a depth of executive experience that will drive strategic growth, compliance excellence, and trader‑first innovation, all while fostering a high-performance leadership culture across FundingPips.”
