Liquidity and prime services provider 26 Degrees announced on Thursday that it has launched extended hours trading in more than 1,000 US single stock CFDs.

The launch means that 26 Degrees’ partners can offer their end clients trading in US equities for up to 16 hours per day, as opposed to the normal 6.5 hour trading session. That includes both pre-market and post-market trading sessions.

A key benefit of longer trading hours is that it makes market access much more convenient for traders in Asia and other parts of the world, purely because it reduces the impact of time difference.

For example, ‘normal’ trading hours in the New York Stock Exchange run from 09:30 to 16:00. If you are based in Hong Kong, that means your window to trade US equities listed on the exchange is 22:30 until 05:00.

26 Degrees is offering extended hours trading via the Cboe One Feed. This feed consolidates pricing data from Cboe’s four US exchanges – BZX Exchange, BYX Exchange, EDGX Exchange and EDGA Exchange.

26 Degrees now offers trading in over 2,000 US stock and ETF CFD products.

“The introduction of extended hours trading for over 1,000 US Equity and ETF CFDs reinforces our commitment to innovation and client-centric solutions,” said Gavin White, Group CEO at 26 Degrees.

“We were one of the first Prime of Primes to launch Equity CFDs via API to brokers back in 2019, and now, by significantly expanding trading hours in US markets, we’re providing brokers with greater flexibility, enhanced liquidity, and more opportunities to serve both new and existing clients.”
