The former CEO of Scope Markets has quietly launched a new brokerage project.
Jacob Plattner is listed as one of the Co-Founders of Azul Markets, which has a license in Mauritius.
The company is also set up with MetaTrader 5 and can already be accessed on the trading platform’s desktop and mobile apps, although TradeInformer understands the goal is to operate more in the B2B vertical.
Two other co-founders are listed on the Azul Markets website – Andrzej Draniewicz and Paulius Paražinskas.
Draniewicz is likely to be a familiar face to readers.
He has worked in the online trading industry for over a decade and held senior roles at XM, where he was Head of Customer Support and Head of Operations.
He also spent time at rival brand FXPrimus, where he was also Head of Customer Support, as well as Head of Payment Solutions.
Paražinskas appears to come from outside of the online trading industry.
Plattner has worked in the online trading industry for over two decades. He was CEO of Scope Markets from 2016 through to 2023, when it was acquired by Rostro Group.
He also held senior roles at GKFX and Alpari, as well as working at IFX Markets in the 2000s.
