Centroid provides GCC exchange access with Arqaam partnership

Risk management and bridging technology provider Centroid Solutions announced on Thursday that it has integrated with Arqaam Capital.

Arqaam is a UAE-based financial services company that provides a mix of investment banking and asset management products.

Part of the former set of services includes a broker-dealer type offering to other financial institutions. That includes providing clients access to trading in equities, listed derivatives, and over-the-counter derivatives.

Significantly for Centroid clients, Arqaam is integrated into all of the major Gulf exchanges. That includes the major exchanges in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

Consequently, Centroid clients will be able to offer, among other products, access to equities trading from those regional exchanges.

This is the second major GCC partnership that Centroid Solutions has formed in the last couple of months. At the end of October, the company integrated with SNB Capital, the largest investment bank in Saudi Arabia, to give clients access to Saudi equities.

Access to local stocks has become an increasingly significant offering for companies focused on the Gulf region.

Trading in CFDs on local stocks and indices has become a popular option for brokers. Scope Markets, for example, recently launched a local index offering that the company says has performed well.
